Hi, I’m Mac Houssaini.
I am a registered counsellor through the Canadian Professional Counselling Association. I am also a certified life coach and have spent the last 10 years helping people develop and live better lives. I’m very passionate helping people that are struggling with anxiety, OCD, and depression. I have also spent time volunteering supporting individuals battling addictions and families that are at risk of homelessness.
My background experience includes retail management, brazilian jiu jitsu coach, and mental health support work (OCD, anxiety, FASD, autism). I believe in continuing my counselling education and growing as a practitioner. I am honored to be part of your healing journey.

About Me & My Approach
My counselling approach is an eclectic mix of CBT, ACT, and person centred therapy. I am trauma informed and will switch between different styles to create perspectives. I believe that every person is unique and there is no real cookie cutter approach in therapy. I use techniques that best suit the client and their needs. My style heavily relies on creating a safe and collaborative relationship with the client. I ensure that there is no hierarchy between myself and the person I am supporting. I do my best to really listen to the person and empathize with their experiences. We ultimately work together as one unit and work towards achieving the clients’ goals in therapy.
A Little Bit About Me
Some of my passions include music, martial arts, travelling the world, and self development. In my free time, you can catch me spending time in the woods or near the water. I also spend a lot of time with my chihuahua (Alice) and my cockatiel (Jasper).
